Cressing Coronation Family Fun Day



Healthy Med Easy have been running Mediterranean diet and lifestyle group classes since January 2023. These run Wednesdays 12.30-1.30pm term time at St Barnabas Hall, Claud Ince Avenue, Cressing, Braintree CM77 8HJ. It costs £5 per session, on a pay as you go basis. All are welcome. Plus you can help yourself to hot drinks, and there is plenty of free parking available.


A wonderful Family Fun Day event was organised in Cressing on Saturday 6th May 2023. This was to mark the Coronation of Charles III and his wife Camilla, as King and Queen of the United Kingdom at Westminster Abbey. I was very pleased to have a stall at the Cressing Fun Day. I had a stall to share the word about the fantastic Mediterranean Diet and Lifestyle groups that I run at St Barnabas Hall in Cressing on Wednesday afternoons.


At the family fun day there were four free inflatable rides. There was an inflatable slide, an inflatable maze, an inflatable basket ball game and a bouncy castle. It was so much fun. Plus, on top of this there was free ice creams for the children. The freebies for the kids were all thanks to the Cressing Parish Council. On top of this, they were showing the coronation in the club house, plus other small business stalls and a tombola within a large marque.


I also took some second hand recipe, gardening and healthy lifestyle books to sell. This was a success. Some fellow book lovers enjoyed having a look through and found some fabulous bargains.


Similar to what was seen in London during the Coronation it sadly rained....alot! However, this did not put off the children of Cressing. They had a great time on the inflatables having much fun, whilst getting soaking wet. This was much to the bewilderment of their onlooking parents.


My family came with me to enjoy the event, My eldest daughter particularly enjoyed the tombola stall. Using her tooth fairy money she now has a beautiful collection of stones and gems to add to her collection. My youngest found the inflatable slide and bouncy castle an absolute delight!

The next Mediterranean Diet and Lifestyle Group in Cressing is being held on Wednesday 10th May 2023 12.30pm-1.30pm.
